Scottish Pedophile who Downloaded Sick Child Sex Abuse Images from Dark Web Jailed

sentenced to jail

A pedophile who downloaded sick child sex abuse pics from the dark web has been jailed.

Depraved Raymond Coney was caged for seven months at Falkirk Sheriff Court today.

The beast, 68, admitted downloading the images at his home in Buchlyvie, Stirlingshire.

He was snared after cops raided the property in August last year following a tip off.

The court heard more than 40 child abuse images classed as Category A – the most serious – were found on his phone and computer, as well as almost 70 category B and C photos.

Sheriff Craig Harris jailed Coney for seven months, and placed him on the sex offender’s register for 10 years.

Detective Inspector Adrian Ure, of Police Scotland’s National Child Abuse Investigation Unit, hailed to outcome.

DI Ure said: “Raymond Coney’s behaviour was appalling and demonstrated a complete and utter disregard for the young victims depicted in the images he was viewing.

“In committing these crimes, he mistakenly believed that the internet would provide anonymity and allow him to undertake his offending undetected.

“However as a result of our investigation he will now rightly face the consequences of his actions.

“Any form of child sexual abuse is a serious criminal offence and is a priority for Police Scotland.

“We encourage anyone with concerns about a child at risk of abuse, or a potential victim, to contact police immediately.”

It comes as a perv forced a cinema to bin its entire pick ‘n’ mix stall after he exposed himself around the sweets.

The flasher shocked unsuspecting staff by dangling his manhood next to the confectionery on display in the Vue Cinema in Livingston, a court heard.

Scott Parker, 45, was remanded for his sick actions. Sentencing was deferred.
