Connecticut Man Arrested for Attempting to Purchase Drugs on the Dark Web

A 32-year-old man from Cos Cob was arrested on charges of attempting to acquire narcotics on “the dark web,” according to Greenwich police.

Kristopher Chimblo, of Harold Street, was arrested on Oct. 19 and charged with criminal attempt at illegal possession of narcotics, police said.

Chimblo was also arrested on the charges of possession of a controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia at Greenwich Hospital earlier this month, police said.

Police said he was in possession of pills, syringes, and a small residue of white powder that tested positive for cocaine.

Chimblo has a history of arrests dating back to early 2015.

According to the Judicial Branch website, Chimblo was convicted in March 2019 for Attempt to Commit Larceny 3rd degree and sentenced to 30 months in jail for an incident on Valley Rd in Cos Cob on Oct 4, 2017 in Greenwich. He was Committed to Department of Corrections.

In June 2017, Chimblo was arrested twice on the same day. He charged with Disorderly Conduct following a fight on Harold Street. That same day, he was also arrested and charged with Assault 3 for an incident at 31 River Road.

In April 2015 he violated his parole after he allegedly Threatened his Cos Cob family. He was charged with charged with Threatening 2 and Disorderly Conduct.

Chimblo’s bail was set at $150,000. He was already in police custody when he was booked on the latest charge.

  1. That’s a very wealthy community and this kid is such a fuckup. Didn’t really say how they got him.

    Actually surprised they arrested a simple buyer during a pandemic. The endless war on drugs goes on.
