how does a walletless site exit scam? I thought they weren’t capable of that.
They actually aren’t walletless. The user deposits coins to their wallet address and it stays there in escrow until they are released to the seller. So yes walletless markets can exit scam just like the rest of the markets.
They didnt need escow because of their strict vendor selection process. Vendors had to apply and guarantee quality in product and service. They tried to limit exit scams with this procedure. The number of pending orders was visible and limited. A trust system with visibility for customers. Seeing how long average response and delivery times, stealth ratings were, was a good indications for users to spot risk. Vendors had to send money at the end of the month to the site by themselves.
