White house market has announced it is closing down its operations via announcement on dread forum. The admin of whm mr white said he has reached his goal and according to the plan it’s time for him to retire. He didnot elaborate what his actual goal was but we can safely assume he was referring to the amount of money he made.

To some, the move of closing down whm was totally unexpected that shocked many people in the dark web community. According to experts the decision to close the market was taken due to the fear of bust by law enforcement agencies. The admin may have made enough money and the reward to risk ratio was too high for him to keep continuing his operations hence making the decision to retire.

Mr white is a mysterious character that emerged in late 2019 on dread forum. There is not much known about his history. He was only active on dread forum. His name is based on walter white the main protagonist of the most famous drama series Breaking Bad. He did a couple of interviews with various news outlets but he hasn’t talked about himself.

He was a very intelligent person known for his coding skills especially when it came to ddos attacks and tor. He had a good grasp on the inner workings of the tor protocol thats why he was able to succesfully mitigate ddos attacks on his markets. Just a few hours ago in a forum post on dread the admin of white house market announced his retirement. The post was met with mixed reactions, most of them shocked, some were happy and others sad. Here is full un-edited statement by white house market admin.

We have reached our goal and now, according to plan, it’s
time to for us to retire.

Effective immediately user registration and ordering have been disabled, everything else (yes, withdrawals included) is working as usual.

We will keep the market online for a limited time until open orders are finalized, disputes handled and coins withdrawn. We don’t know how long that will take but
don’t expect to come back 6 months from now and find the market up.

All market rules are still in effect so users (both buyers and vendors) should not try to take advantage of the situation and scam, the feedback system is still working and will be shared with Recon and other markets.

Because this week’s featured listings and stickies won’t generate any revenue vendors who paid for them will be refunded via their market wallet.

Vendors can now advertise the markets where they operate on their vendor profiles however direct contacts are still disallowed.
