Two Dutch Dealers Arrested In Germany For Trafficking Drugs Via The Dark Web

The police have arrested two Dutch people who were allegedly dealing drugs via the dark web. The men are from Voorburg and Pijnacker.

According to the Justice Department, the duo traded in “almost all conceivable types of drugs, from amphetamine, xtc, cocaine and hashish to ketamine. Large amount of drugs were found during a raid on a warehouse.

The suspects are said to have sent at least 1,300 orders. Their customers were from all over the world. According to the prosecution, the 40-year-old man from Voorburg organized the sale via the dark web, the hidden part of the internet.

The 38 year old man from Pijnacker made the orders ready for dispatch and put them in the mail, in Belgium and mainly in Germany. He was arrested in Germany and will be tried there. The man from Voorburg has meanwhile been arraigned in the Netherlands and will be detained for another fourteen days.

The investigation into online drug trafficking began in Frankfurt. In May last year, the Netherlands was involved. According to the judiciary, the arrests have tackled an important supplier of drugs via the dark web.
