The Fontana Police Department announced that two men were arrested on child pornography charges in separate incidents recently.

Detectives from the Fontana P.D.’s Internet Crimes Against Children (ICAC) Task Force discovered that Fontana resident Jason Fuller, 27, was allegedly downloading and distributing child pornography over the Internet.

A search warrant was served at Fuller’s residence in the 15500 block of Caravelle Avenue, where detectives seized multiple electronic devices. Evidence relating to the downloading and distributing of child pornography was located, police said. Fuller was booked at West Valley Detention Center.

—– IN ANOTHER CASE, detectives discovered that Jamal Abdul-Hafiz, 34, was allegedly downloading and distributing child pornography over the Dark Web, the Fontana P.D. said in a Facebook post.

On Nov. 11, a search warrant was served as the suspect’s residence in the 2600 block of Reed Way in Loma Linda. Evidence relating to the downloading and distributing of child pornography was located, police said.

Abdul-Hafiz was booked at West Valley Detention Center.

On the other hand reports surfaced noting that a Florida special education teacher named Shawn Fitzgerald was hit with 408 charges of child pornography after police reportedly found hundreds of illegal images of children doing sexual activities on the man’s phone.

Polk County sheriff Gray Judd said the children in the imagery were as young as ten months old and showed adults abusing children and acts between children. It was noted that Fitzgerald did not appear to take the photos, and it appears he has not personally put hands on a child. Despite that, the educator is still going to face the charges.

Superintendent Jacqueline Byrd issued a statement to the press saying, “We are shocked and disgusted by these charges. As educators, we are entrusted with the well-being of our young people every day. It is our sacred duty to set the highest moral example in our schools and our communities. She continued, “We are cooperating fully with the investigation to ensure justice is served, and we are in the process of terminating this employee.” Fitzgerald is currently being held on $2 million bail.
