Since the age of seven, two now 28- and 27-year-old Unterländer were close friends. Growing up together in the same settlement, they trusted each other and in the end also treaded crooked paths.
Both had a rather manageable professional success in common. In the end, despite the best training, the younger one was only able to provide emergency aid.
Additional source of income: online poker. This brought in 10,000 in 2020 – apparently too little.
When a drug dealer complained to him in a pub that he was barely getting any more material due to the lockdown, the 27-year-old saw his chance.
In contrast to the dealer, he found his way around the Internet Darknet, which also offers everything illegal. And so, in the future, amphetamines weighing in at a kilo from Holland would pass through him.
Ultimately, a poker with freedom. Online sales only ran smoothly for a short time.
The 27-year-old had the parcels sent to his school friend’s address with a slightly different name. When the latter once informed him that he was eating and that he had no time to accept the parcel, the 27-year-old only shouted, “Are you crazy?”.
The non-acceptance was fatal. So the deliverer immediately brought the one-kilo amphetamine parcel back to the mail distribution center.
When the friends got there, exasperated, the delivery was already on its way back to Germany – the post can be that fast.
German detectives had finally opened the package and only had to give the Tyrolean LKA the delivery address.
The duo was able to put only 2.5 of the ordered 4.2 kilograms on the market. Nevertheless, it got a threat of 15 years imprisonment. While the 27-year-old had confessed extensively yesterday at the regional court, the 28-year-old tried to explain that he had no idea what was in the package. For completely legal takeovers and trips he wanted to receive 4000 euros from his friend.
Judge honored the confession of the 27 years old man with a suspended four years sentence, and four and a half years for the 28 years old.
