Dark Web Reseller from Italy Arrested for Importing Drugs from Abroad

TURIN – The Carabinieri (Italian paramilitary police) have arrested a 22-year-old Italian computer expert.

In Volvera, in the Turin hinterland, the carabinieri of the Compagnia di Moncalieri searched the computer expert’s home and seized 2.5 kg of narcotics, including hashish and marijuana, 14 thousand euros in cash and everything necessary for weighing and packaging the drug doses.

In particular, all the drug was found in a bag, ready to be delivered.

The drugs inlcuded 1.5 kg of hashish, divided into blocks of 100 grams, 1 kg of marijuana, divided into three plastic bags, 22 jars each containing 3 grams of marijuana, 8 jars of 100 ml each containing codeine.

Police also found a sum of 14,400 euros, useful material for the packaging of the doses, 4 Spanish SIM cards and 1 mobile phone.

Initial investigations suggest that part of the seized drug was purchased abroad on the dark web.

Police are further investigating the case.
